How to Enable the Browser on a Verizon BlackBerry 8830

If you have purchased, updated or reinstalled software on a BlackBerry 8830 and are missing a browser, you must register your device over the wireless network to regain access to the software. This is a simple process that can be done directly from your phone.

  • Select the "Options" menu from your BlackBerry "Home" screen.

  • Choose "Advanced Options" from the "Options" menu.

  • Click on "Host Routing Table" near the bottom of the menu.

  • Click the "Menu" button on your device and choose "Register Now."

  • Click the "End" key on your device to return to the "Home" screen. If your browser does not appear on the "Home" screen, remove and replace the battery.
