How to Measure Body Fat With a Scale
Body mass index (BMI) is a measurement of a person's body fat based on their height and weight. This is used to estimate a healthy body weight. The body fat scale has gained popularity because of its capability to measure body fat. The concerns about obesity has triggered an interest in the body scale. Its function is to measure your weight as well as measure the percentage of fat that is on your body frame. Using a the body scale to measure fat is a simple process.

Select kg/lb by using the slide switch, located on the bottom of the body fat scale. Place the scale on a surface that is firm and flat.

Remove your shoes and socks and step on the scale. This will automatically turn on the scale. "8888" will display and will be followed by "0.00" after a few seconds. Step off the scale.

Press "SET" to input your personal data such as your height, age and gender. Use the left and right arrows to increase or decrease numbers. Press "SET" to confirm and save your information.

Step back on the scale and stand still. Your weight will be calculated and your water ratio reading will appear on the LCD screen with the letter "H" in front of it. The "H" refers to your water ratio. After 2 seconds your body fat percentage will appear with the letter "F" in front of it.

Step off the body fat scale to automatically turn it off.

Tips & Warnings
Measure your body fat three hours after eating or exercising. This will give the most accurate readings.
Do not use a body fat scale if you are wearing a pacemaker or other electronic medical devices.
Always dry your feet before using the body fat scale.
