Instructions

    • 1

Turn on your Directv receiver. Go to the on-screen menu. Find the "Test Satellite Signal" screen. Type in your ZIP code. This will give you the proper elevation and azimuth coordinates for you to adjust your dish. Using on-screen signal meter will enable you to fine-tune your Directv. The higher the signal strength, the less likely you'll experience outages due to poor weather conditions.

    • 2

Align the azimuth by setting your on-screen menu to signal meter mode. Point antenna to a southerly direction. You'll find a screw on the dish to loosen for up and down adjustment. Another screw will loosen the dish for side-to-side azimuth angles. When optimal signal strength is achieved, mark mast and bracket point on the dish with a pencil.

    • 3

Verify azimuth alignment by switching to Sat B on your on-screen menu. Slightly rotate the dish around the pencil mark you made on the mast. Signal should peak at 119 degrees. Once satisfied with the signal, tighten azimuth/mast bolts then fine-tune elevation. Use Sat A or Sat B on-screen signal meter. Hold LNB arm of the dish and slightly loosen elevation nuts. Move up and down to achieve the best signal. Once the peak is found, tighten the two elevation nuts.

Tips & Warnings
