How to Reprogram My Charter Cable Motorola TV Remote

Those who have Charter cable service also have a cable box that is hooked to their televisions. This cable box is manufactured by Motorola. You control it by using the remote control that comes with the box. You can set the remote control also to control the settings on your TV or DVD player. If you buy a new TV or DVD player and you need to reprogram the remote to work with the new device, follow the same procedure you did when you programmed the remote the first time.

Instructions

1. Turn on the TV or DVD player, depending on which device you want to program to work with the remote.

2. Press the "TV" or the "DVD" button on the remote.

3. Press and hold the "Setup" button on the remote. Release the button when the red light on the remote blinks two times.

4. Enter the four-digit code associated with your TV or DVD player. (See Resources)

5. Point the remote at the TV or DVD player and press "Power." If the device does not turn off, repeat Steps 2 through 4 using a new code each time until the process works.
