How to Change Your Avatar Picture on the Sims 3

The Sims 3 game for PC and Mac computers allows you to create your own characters and environment in a three-dimensional world. The game links with the official Sim 3 website to give you a place to communicate with other players, purchase items to be used in the game and receive specific updates. After you create a Sims character, you can change the avatar used in the game and on the website to appear as any other character you've created.

Instructions

1. Start your Sims 3 game on your computer, and click the "Share Sim" icon after you've created your Sim.

2. Click the "Launcher" option from the left navigation pane, and select the Sim that you want for your avatar so that the box next to the Sim image is selected.

3. Click the "Upload" button. Allow time for the uploading process to complete for your avatar to be changed.

4. Return to the Sims 3 website, and click the "My Page" option from the top of the screen.

5. Select the "Edit Avatar" option below your avatar, and select the avatar you created. Click the "Submit" button, and your avatar will be uploaded.
