Removing the battery is going to be the same as removing any standard car battery. The battery can be recycled at any automotive parts store if it has gone bad. Have the battery tested at the parts store before replacing.

Instructions

      Open the hood for access to the battery. Locate the battery in the engine compartment.

      Unbolt the negative ("-") cable with a socket wrench. Pull it away from the battery.

      Unbolt the positive ("+") cable with a socket wrench. Pull it away from the battery.

    • 4

      Unbolt the restraining bar at the base of the battery with a socket wrench. This will free the battery from the engine compartment.

    • 5

      Pull the battery out of the engine compartment. Place it in a covered area.
