How to Edit an SSL Certificate Subject
Once an SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate is installed on a Windows server, it secures the server against virus attacks and attempts at hacking. A certificate contains information about the company, the network and the type of SSL security that is implemented. Occasionally, this information needs to be edited -- for example, to amend the certificate subject field. Editing an SSL certificate can be done by an IT administrator with the appropriate skills.
