Click "Profile" on the home page of the BlackBerry 8700C.

Click "Advanced." Click the notification profile for which you'd like to set the ringtone.

Click "Show Tunes." Browse your media folders for the file you want to use as a ringtone. Click the file you want.

When choosing which profile on which to change the ringtone, remember the profile with "Active" next to it is the one you're currently using.
Although your BlackBerry 8700c comes with preinstalled ringtones, you can download more the phone by clicking "Media" on the home page. Click "Ring tones." Select and download your desired ringtones.
Each profile has its own ringtone. If you'd like to change the 8700C's ringtone overall, you'll need to change it on each profile.
