    • 1

Fill a bucket with hot water, add a decent amount of kitchen dishwashing detergent and grab a sponge.

    • 2

Dip your sponge into the bucket and use a vigorous scrubbing motion on the part of your headlight containing wax residue. Repeat dipping your sponge, re-soaping and scrubbing until the wax residue has been removed from your headlight. If dish soap does not work, you may need to try a solution of two parts water to one part isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle to strip the wax from your headlight.

Rinse your headlight with a high-pressure nozzle sprayer attached to a garden hose. Buff dry with a soft cloth. If wax residue is still visible on your car's headlight, you may need to repeat these steps.
