Unplug your Cuisinart food processor.

Take the work bowl off the base of the food processor, and place it on a flat, sturdy surface.

Hold the work bowl steady by placing the heel of one hand on the rim. Grasp the blade firmly with your other hand.

Pull up on the blade gently but firmly.

Empty the work bowl if you have been using it to chop or to mix food before putting on a new blade.

Grasp the new blade by its hub. Hold the work bowl steady with one hand, and with the other hand, slide the blade onto the shaft and twist until it slips into place. Push it firmly down as far on the shaft as it will go.
