My Walkman NWZ-E436F Won't Charge

The Sony Walkman NWZ-E436F is a personal audio device that allows you to upload your favorite music, videos and photos. The MP3 Sony Walkman uploads data through a USB cable that is connected to your computer. From time to time, the Walkman may exhibit problems, but you can resolve most of these issues, such as the battery not charging properly, in a few simple troubleshooting steps.

Instructions

1. Connect the Sony Walkman to your computer with the USB cable. Insert the smaller end into your Walkman and the larger end into your computer's USB hub. Your computer should indicate that the Walkman is connected, and a charging icon should appear on your Walkman.

2. Let the battery charge for several hours if you do see the icon. Your Walkman may not have any power and may take a while to charge before it powers on again.

3. Inspect your USB cable for frayed or torn wires if the Walkman is not charging. It may be damaged or faulty. If you have another USB cable, try that instead or consider purchasing another one.

4. Insert a small pin into the hole containing the Walkman's "Reset" button if it is still not charging. The Walkman may need to be reconfigured, and pressing the reset button will do this. However, you may lose the data on device, so always make sure that you back up any data on your Walkman to an external hard drive.
