How to Remove Windshield Wiper Blades on a Honda Accord

Removing wiper blades takes only a few minutes.

Removing wiper blades from a Honda Accord is a relatively simple task. You may need to do this for a number of reasons. First, if you plan on replacing the blades, the old ones will need to come off. Wiper-blade removal is also a necessary task for conducting some kinds of other repairs. For instance, if you plan on replacing the Accord's wiper arms, but wish to keep the blades, then the removal process is necessary.

• Dry sponge

Instructions

1. Approach the Honda Accord's driver-side blade and move it to a vertical position.

2. Locate and undo the safety clasp or locking clip at the blade's center connection. This clip helps secure the blade to the wiper arm, so undoing it is absolutely necessary.

3. Pull the wiper blade off the end of the Honda Accord's wiper arm.

4. Place a dry sponge onto the Honda Accord's windshield and lower the tip of the wiper arm onto it. This is a precautionary step to keep the arm from rubbing against or damaging the Accord's windshield.

5. Repeat these removal steps on the passenger-side wiper blade.
