How to Update an HP 1600 Printer Driver

If you have been using your HP 1600 printer along with an older version of the Windows operating system and have upgraded to a more recent version of Windows, you will need to upgrade the printer driver in order for the printer to operate properly with your new version of Windows. Upgrading the driver allows the computer to recognize the printer so you can continue to print.

Instructions

1. Visit the HP 1600 "Download drivers and software" page.

2. Click to select your operating system under "Select Operating System."

3. Click "Download" next to the driver you want to install.

4. Click "Save File" when the dialog box opens.

5. Double-click the file that you saved and follow the on-screen instructions. This will complete the download of the 1600 driver.
