How to Accept a Position in a Company
If you have been looking for a job for months and a company calls to offer you a position, you may be excited and ready to start working. But before you accept the offer, consider all your needs, from job satisfaction to salary, as you need to be comfortable working there. Do not accept the offer until you have determined that you are accepting the job for the right reasons. If you accept the job only for the money, you may end up being miserable.

1
Examine the job offer to determine whether you would enjoy this type of work in the given field. You may be a drawer and enjoy drawing poster layouts and working on marketing campaigns, but the job may ask you to draw blueprints for machines and equipment. If you are not thrilled about this prospect, chances are that your co-workers and supervisor will recognize it.

2
Consider the company's work environment to determine whether you can work there and be happy. If you are a team worker and enjoy working with others, you may not enjoy working in a cubicle office where people work individually. Recall when you went in for the interview and remember how the staff interacted with one another.

Analyze your own excitement over the job offer. Decide whether the job will challenge you or if you are overqualified and will be bored. Also, find out if there is a chance for you to grow and excel in the company. It is important to find a job that allows you to meet your career goals.

4
Analyze the salary and calculate whether it meets your financial expectations and needs. If you have a family you need to provide for, you should consider their needs as well.
-
5
Write a letter to accept the position at the company. Thank the person who contacted you for offering the position and state that this is your formal job acceptance letter. Say you accept the salary offer along with any benefits that may have been part of the offer. Note any important information discussed during the interview or over the phone, such as the initial starting date, training programs and a probation period.
-
6
Thank the person who has extended the offer of employment and sign the letter with the date of job acceptance. Send it to that person or the company's hiring manager.
