Instructions

    • 1

Protect a work surface with newspaper. Paint one side of the clothes pins with acrylic craft paint and allow them to thoroughly dry on the newspaper before painting the opposite sides; be sure to paint the inside portion of the clothes pins as well. Paint several clothes pins according to the size wreath you want to create; you can make more if you run out. Choose a paint color to reflect a specific holiday, such as pine green for Christmas.

    • 2

Use wire cutters to snip a piece of craft wire at a length needed to create the size wreath you are creating. Bend one end of the wire into a loop.

    • 3

Slide a painted clothes pin onto the wire through its center spring, clip-side-out. Next, string a plastic, wood or glass craft bead onto the wire. Choose bead colors to coordinate with the overall look of the wreath, such as red beads for a Christmas-inspired design.

    • 4

Slip another clothes pin onto the wire and then another bead. Continue this alternating pattern until the entire wire is filled.

    • 5

Bend the wire into a loop to form the wreath. Slide the straight end of the wire through the looped end and twist it to secure.

    • 6

Tie a wide ribbon into a bow and use a hot glue gun to attach it to the top of the wreath. Use the clothes pins to hold and display holiday cards if you desire.
