Instructions

    • 1

Check the air conditioning system in the car to see if the setting is set to intake from the outside. Spray air freshener directly into the vents on the dashboard near the windshield of the car.

    • 2

Drive the car a few miles; this will allow the air time to circulate. Turn the air conditioner setting to re-circulate to flush the air freshener through the system.

    • 3

Roll down all of the windows of the car as far as they will go and spray the car with an air freshener. Allow the car time to air out with the windows down.

    • 4

Replace the air filters to remove any dirt, stagnant water buildup and dust. Turn the setting on the air conditioner down when driving. Having it on medium will help avoid odor-causing moisture in the system. Lower the power of the vent before turning off the car. Hang air fresheners from the mirror in the center of the windshield to help prevent the smell from coming back.

Tips & Warnings

  • Bad smells can arise when the air conditioning system is set to intake from the outside when the car drives through an area where there is heavy pollution or bad smells.

  • Turning down the power of the air conditioner before getting out of the car will help prevent mildew and dry out the system before the car is turned off.
