How to Get National Pokedex in Pokemon Diamond

In "Pokemon: Diamond Version," players start off with the Sinnoh Pokedex. This is an encyclopedia that lists the 151 Pokemon native to that region. When you encounter a new Pokemon, its description is added to the Pokedex. After you have seen at least 150 Pokemon from this Pokedex, and have beaten the Elite Four, you can upgrade the Sinnoh Pokedex to the National Pokedex, an even bigger encyclopedia that lists all known Pokemon types in existence.

Instructions

1. Defeat the Elite Four. See the guide in the Resources section for more information.

2. Encounter all of the 150 Pokemon you have yet to see, with the exception of Manaphy. It is not necessary to catch them all. When you have 149 Pokemon listed in the Sinnoh Pokedex, head to the large house at the top of Celestic Town.

3. Talk to the old woman in this house to add Palkia to your Sinnoh Pokedex. This will bring your collection to 150.

4. Go to Sangdem Town and talk to Professor Rowan. You will receive the National Pokedex from Professor Oak.

Tips & Warnings

• Battle every trainer in the game to fill the majority of Sinnoh Pokedex entries.

• Pokemon can be added to the Pokedex via trade or battle with friends.
