Ignition keys are electronically synced to your engine.

Transponder keys are used with vehicles around the world to electronically control the car's ignition. These keys, also known as chip keys or ignition keys, are synced to the car using a coding sequence. You can copy cut keys for your car using this programming sequence. The process can be completed from your driver's seat in less than an hour and have you ready to use the keys right away.

Instructions

    • 1

Enter your car with your new key and insert the key into the ignition.

    • 2

Turn the key to the "On" position for 10 minutes and 30 seconds and then cycle it back "Off" within 45 seconds.

    • 3

Repeat the previous step two more times, ending in the "Off" position after the third cycle.

    • 4

Turn the key back "On" and leave it there until the security light turns on.

    • 5

Turn the key to the "Run" position to start your car and end the programming sequence.
