Homemade Snow Shovel
Shoveling snow is a fact of life in the colder parts of the world. That thick blanket of snow blocks everything from driveways to mailboxes to front doors, and you'll need to free your wheels and sidewalk from the weighty white nuisance. It can be a tiresome task, so getting everyone who is able to help will make it easier and faster. Things You'll Need
- Durable thick plastic garbage can lid
- Screws and screwdriver
- Single-edged razor blade or box cutter
- Wooden broomstick

Cut the garbage can lid into two pieces using a single-edged razor blade or box cutter. The cut edge will act as the scooping side, while the raised outer brim will keep the snow in place until deposited.

Most ordinary brooms are detachable. Use the detached broomstick as your handle for the snow shovel.

Attach the broomstick in the middle of the garbage can lid's outer rim using three screws. Secure very tightly.
