How to Replace a Fuji Digital LCD
Fuji digital cameras are known for reliability and high quality. Even so, the LCD screen on a Fuji camera is exposed to the elements, and is therefore highly susceptible to damage from external knocks, water damage and cracks and scratches as well as internal damage like wiring problems and overheating. Replacement Fuji LCD screens are available on the Internet and in some camera stores. It is a reasonably straightforward process to replace the screen yourself, avoiding high repair costs charged by repair outlets.

- Fuji digital replacement LCD screen
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
- Tweezers

Remove any rechargeable or AA batteries from your Fuji digital camera.

Unscrew all screws from the camera body using a Phillips head screwdriver.

Pull the back casing away from the camera body. You can use a flat-head screwdriver to gently pry open the casing if it won't release easily by hand.

Unscrew the screw holding the LCD screen to the motherboard. This is usually located just above the screen.

Pull the LCD screen away from the camera. An orange ribbon still holds it to the motherboard.

Slide the two switches (located on either side of the orange ribbon on the motherboard) outward and away from the orange ribbon. Use tweezers if you can't grip the switches with your fingers.

Remove the LCD screen and orange ribbon completely from the camera.

Insert the new LCD screen following the above steps in reverse.
