Smart Wool Washing Instructions
SmartWool is a brand of socks made from 100 percent merino wool, which is a softer wool that does not cause the usual scratchy feeling associated with other wool blend products. Originally designed for athletes, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, people lounging in front of the fire or going for a quick jaunt to the grocery store also wear these socks. Laundering SmartWool socks correctly will extend the life of the socks. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Place the SmartWool socks into the washing machine. Avoid washing the socks with any items that contain hook and loop fasteners, buttons or anything that could hook the socks, causing damage or a snag. Instead, wash the wool socks with other knit or wool pieces.
-
2
Add a mild laundry detergent to the machine.
-
-
3
Place the washing machine to a delicate setting. Wash the socks with cold water to avoid any shrinkage and damage.
-
4
Remove the socks after the entire washing cycle is complete. Place them into the dryer on a low setting. If desired, you can also hang the socks up to dry. Never dry the socks on a high setting as this will lead to shrinkage.
