    • 2

Check the control circuit wiring if there is no water to drain. Turn the humidistat up and down and listen for a click. Turn on the furnace fan and listen for a click. Call for service if you do not hear a clicking sound.

    • 3

Inspect plumbing connections and remove kinks, if the water is not draining properly. Remove any obstructions in the drain tubing.

    • 4

Seal duct joints with duct tape if air is leaking around the humidifier.

    • 5

Check the breaker box and reset the breakers if the furnace blower is not working. Inspect wiring connections and the humidity control setting. If the furnace blower still does not work, call for servicing.

    • 6

Close doors, windows and the fireplace damper, if present, if there is low humidity. Seal doors and windows with drafts using caulk or weather stripping.
