How to Get Added to the 411 National Directory thumbnail
Adding your number to the 411 national directory is easy to do.

If you are a business owner, it is essential that your company is registered with a national 411 directory. Not being registered may prevent potential customers from finding out about your business and potential creditors from validating whether your business is legitimate. If you have an unpublished number, VOIP line or you use your cell phone as your main method of contact, your number will not be listed in the 411 national directory. Adding your number to a national 411 directory is easy to accomplish.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit Listyourself.net or Superpages.com and click the link "List yourself" or "Add Business." Fill out the online form, and then click "Add Listing." Wait a week, and then dial 800-FREE-411 or 411 to verify that your listing is in the database.

    • 2

Dial 411 from your land-line phone. Wait for the representative to answer the line and provide her with the city, state, your name or the name of your business. If the representative is unable to find the listing, ask her to add the information to the database.

    • 3

Contact your phone-service provider and follow the prompts to speak with a representative. Ask the representative to add your telephone listing to the public directories. This will remove the "unpublished" status from your account.

Tips & Warnings
