Touch-up paint can renew the look of your Camry.

It happens to nearly everyone---the inevitable dings or scratches that accumulate over time and make your car look the worse for wear. Fortunately, auto parts stores sell touch-up paint to match the color of most modern cars, including the 2001 Toyota Camry. One key to successful paint repair is to match the original color of the car exactly by using your Toyota's paint color code tag.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the driver's side door. There will be a white label inside the door jamb. The paint code is located under the bar code. Look for the letters "C/TR," which is where the paint code begins. The code will be three characters long and can include both numbers and letters. Write this number down.

Use the car's VIN number if the label inside the door jamb is damaged or otherwise unreadable. You will find the VIN number on a metal tab on the driver's side of the dashboard, up by the windshield. Write this number down.

Contact Toyota's Customer Support Center at 800-331-4331 with the VIN number to find the Camry's paint code.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always use the paint color code rather than the paint color name to order matching paint for your Camry.
