For financial software and other programs that contain sensitive and confidential information, password protection provides safety. Removing password protected programs takes just a few steps.

Click on the "Start" menu.

Click on "Control Panel.

Click "Programs," and then click "Programs and Features" for Vista and Windows 7.

Search the program list for the password-protected program you want to uninstall. Click on it.

Click the "Uninstall" button for Vista and Windows 7.

Enter the program's password when prompted to do so. Hit the "Enter" key.

Confirm removal of the program.

Restart your computer.
