How to Copy DVR Movies From My R16-300
The recordings stored in your DIRECTV R16-300 DVR are saved in digital format. Generally when digital content is copied from one place to another, such as putting music on an mp3 player, the process involves a quick file transfer. This is not the case when comes to copying movies stored in a DVR. Unless supported by the DVR service provider, you can't transfer the movie file from your DVR to another media storage device. You can, however, use another recording device (such as a DVD recorder) to dub the movies stored in the DVR to another media storage device (like a DVD).
