How to Repair a Yamaha Blaster Engine Mount

The Yamaha Blaster is an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) with a 200-cubic-centimeter, two-stroke, air-cooled engine. This ATV was manufactured from 1998 to 2006. When the engine mount becomes worn or breaks the best thing to do is replace the engine mount. This ATV has two mounts: one at the front of the engine and one at the rear of the transmission. The mount is secured between the engine and frame by one bolt.

Instructions

    • 1

Park the Yamaha Blaster on level ground. Allow the engine to completely cool before you proceed.

    • 2

Lay on your back and slide under the front of the engine. Remove the bolt from the center of the engine using the ratchet set. The bolt looks like a round piece of rubber and is in clear view.

    • 3

Place the jack under the front of the engine. Raise the engine slightly and pull the engine mount from between the engine and the frame.

    • 4

Place the new mount between the engine and the frame. Line up the hole on the frame, mount and engine.

    • 5

Insert the bolt into the holes and lower the engine. Tighten the bolt to 87.9 foot-pounds using the torque wrench.
