How to Polish Billet Wheels
A billet wheel is a type of metal car or motorcycle wheel usually made of aluminium and known for its flashiness. These wheels can be slightly more expensive than other makes, but fans of the type are willing to pay. When properly maintained, these wheels have a dazzling shine that is hard to find in from any other type of wheel. Polish billet wheels with a product made specifically for the wheels, to keep them in pristine condition.
Instructions
-
-
1
Wipe the billet wheel thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any visible dust or debris.
-
2
Pour the billet polish (using the measurements instructed on the polish container) onto a microfiber cloth. The combination of polish and cloth will give you the smoothest, most thorough cleaning potential.
-
-
3
Rub the wheel in gentle circular motions, occasionally checking that the cloth is becoming slightly discolored as a sign that the process is working. Rub harder if nothing is coming off from the wheel onto the cloth.
-
4
Rub the whole area with a clean, dry cloth once you have polished the whole wheel (and your cloth is suitably grimy.) Remove any extra polish and buff the wheel.
