Instructions for a Navigon 2100Max
The Navigon company produces global positioning systems that you can use in your vehicle to help you safely navigate through areas you might be unfamiliar with. The Navigon 2100 Max is one model of GPS that utilizes a touchscreen where you may enter in information to help you get to your destination. By entering in an address, you prompt this model of GPS to display a map showing you where to turn next, accompanied by a helpful voice to guide you through traffic.

Turn on the Navigon 2100 Max by pressing down the "Power" button at the top of the device. Wait for the GPS to load before touching the screen.

Press the "New Destination" button on the main screen. A menu will appear next to this button. Press on the "City" button to start entering the information for your destination. Type in the first few letters of the city by pressing the buttons on the keyboard that appears. A list of cities will show up as you type letters. Select the city you wish to travel to as it appears.

Enter in the name of the street your destination is on. Use the keyboard to type in the first few letters and then press on your street name when it appears on the list. Be sure to select the proper street type -- for instance, Riverside Drive versus Riverside Road -- to be directed to the correct location.

Enter in the house number using the number pad that appears on the next step. If you do not have the house number or wish to travel to an intersection, press the "Intersection" button on this screen. You will be prompted to enter another street name if you select this. Follow Step 3 to select a second street.

Push the "Start Navigation" button on the lower left corner of the screen after you enter your information. The Navigon GPS will search for the location and present a map showing your next turn and a voice directing you where to go next.

Tips & Warnings
Do not attempt to enter information into a GPS while driving. Use the device before beginning your drive or pull over to a safe parking space.
