Use your AC power cable to fully charge your battery before use. This applies if your Acer is new and this is the first time you are using it.

Fully charge your Acer battery and then fully discharge it once every three weeks or so. This maximizes battery life.

Unplug your rectangular battery from its port on the underside of the unit and use the cotton swabs dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean the whole unit. A clean battery lasts longer. (Unplug it first, for safety reasons, and make sure it dries thoroughly before plugging it in again.)

Use your computer at least once every three weeks or so. Leaving your battery dormant can drain battery life.
