How to Remove a Bing Toolbar

The Bing toolbar is an add-on that you can install in your Internet browser. It gives you a shortcut to the Bing search engine from Microsoft. If you don't want this toolbar installed on your browser, you can remove it through the Web browser itself by disabling the plug-in that runs the toolbar.

Instructions

1. Open your Internet Explorer Web browser.

2. Click the "Tools" button. Press the "Alt" and "T" keys together to open this menu if it is not visible.

3. Click "Manage Add-ons."

4. Click the "Bing Bar" program.

5. Click "Disable," then uncheck "Bing Bar BHO." (BHO, or browser helper object, is another name for the add-on.)

6. Click "Disable" again and restart the browser to complete the removal of the Bing toolbar.
