How to Pop Your Ear to Get Water Out
Water can become trapped in the ear when the canal to the eardrum becomes constricted. With the Eustachian tube clogged, your ear drum can't vibrate, so sound becomes muffled and you sometimes feel pain. According to the Mayo Clinic, a plugged ear is usually a temporary problem that goes away on its own. However, there are a few simple steps you can do to speed up the healing process.

1
Put your palm over you ear and push down to make a vacuum. Then remove your palm, creating a gentle suction.
-
2
Pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol into the cap of the bottle. Tilt the affected ear to the ceiling, and place one or two drops into the ear canal. This will help dry the water in the ear. You can also use an eyedropper to place the drops. Lift your head back to the natural position, holding a tissue by the ear to catch any drops.
