How to Use Walnut Oil As a Finish
You can use walnut oil to leave wood surfaces with a natural-looking finish. Purified natural oils such as walnut oil often are used to finish work surfaces such as cutting boards and butcher's blocks. Walnut oil is quickly absorbed into the wood to make the surface more durable without creating a temporary coating. The oil slightly darkens the color of wood and accentuates the natural appearance of the grain with only a few applications.
