How to Enable Tabbed Browsing in IE8

Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) comes with tabbed browsing---a feature that allows you to open multiple webpages in the same window. The webpages are organized in tabs, which is convenient for organizing pages and minimizing the number of windows displayed on the taskbar. However, you cannot enjoy the convenience of this browsing feature if it is disabled. Fortunately, enabling tabbed browsing is a quick and simple process that takes minutes to complete.

Instructions

1. Click the "Tools" menu in your browser and click "Internet Options" to launch the Internet Options dialog box.

2. Click the "General" tab, and then click the "Settings" button in the "Tabs" section. Click the "Enable Tabbed Browsing" check-box to add a check mark to it.

3. Click "OK" twice to save your changes, and then close and relaunch your web browser for the changes to take effect.
