How to Clean RGP Contact Lenses
RGP or "rigid gas permeable" contact lenses are rigid without being hard. They take a little more time getting use to than soft contacts. RGP contact lenses are made of firm, durable plastic that transmits oxygen. The contacts resist deposits and are not as likely to carry bacteria as soft lenses. But they usually take a little more time to adjust to than soft lenses. RGP lenses can correct certain vision problems more accurately than soft lenses. You must ensure that cleaning instructions are followed closely.
