How to Retrieve Voicemail Messages From Telephones

You can access your voicemail at home or away from home.

Having voicemail with your home phone provider has its advantages. If you are away from home or simply can't answer the phone while at home, your voicemail messages will be stored in your voicemail box until you check them. Voicemail is private unlike an answering machine that plays your messages out loud. You can check your voicemail at home or away from home.

Instructions

Check Voicemail Messages at Home

1. Dial the number associated with your home phone carrier from your home phone. If you have AT&T, you would enter "#98."

2. Enter the password that you designated when you set up your voicemail account.

3. Listen to your voicemail messages. Save or delete according to the automated instructions given.

Check Voicemail Messages Away from Home

1. Dial your home phone number from another phone such as your work phone or mobile phone.

2. Enter "*" during the voicemail greeting. Enter the password associated with your account when requested by the automated voice.

3. Listen to the messages and save or delete the messages as needed.
