How to Fix Error 1714


Windows Error 1714 is a common error message in Microsoft Windows operating system. Error 1714 may occur due to outdated Windows files. It may also occur due to a program that suddenly stops responding as you are trying to run it on your computer. Also, malware and corrupt registry files can contribute to this error.   • Click the "Start" menu and select "All Programs." Choose "Windows Update." Click the option that says "Check for Updates" on the left pane. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation. Reboot your computer.

  • Click the "Start" menu and select "Run." Type "MRT" without the quotes and press "Enter." This will open "Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool." Click "Next" and choose "Full Scan." Follow the on-screen instructions to complete scanning and remove any malware that may have entered your computer.
