Instructions for the Pantech Phone


The Pantech company produces cellular phones that can be used with most service providers in the United States. The Pantech line of cell phones can be used to send and receive cell calls and text messages. It also features a programmable phone book that you can use to keep track of the phone numbers for your friends, family members and coworkers. The Pantech cell phone line also has a slide-out keyboard and touchscreen controls that you use to make calls and save contacts into your phone book. The operating instructions are easy to learn.

  • Pantech cell phone
  • Press the "Power" button on the Pantech phone to turn on the device. You will need to wait for the phone to load before you can begin using its features. When you see the home screen, you can begin to use the phone.

  • Use the number pad on the slide-out keyboard to enter in a number to call at anytime while on the home screen. When you have entered the number, including area code, and country code if necessary, press the green "Call" button which is shaped like a phone handset. You will be connected to the number you entered. Press the red "Disconnect" button to end the call. When receiving a call, press the "Call" button to accept or the "Ignore" button to send the caller straight to your voicemail.

  • Tap the "Menu" button on the touch screen with your finger to enter the main menu. Tap the "Messaging" option to enter text message mode. Here you will see messages that others have sent you. Tap a message to view it. Tap the "New Message" option to begin a new message. Type your message using the keyboard and then hit the "OK" button. Type in a number or the name of a contact in the "Recipient" field. Tap the "Send" button when finished to send your text message.

  • Tap the "Contacts" option on the main menu to enter your phone book. Here you can scroll through a list of your contacts with your finger and select one to call or text by tapping it. Tap the "Add" option to create a new contact. You will see a list of information fields for the contact including name, number and email. Tap the field to select it and use the keyboard to enter in the information. When finished, tap "Save" with your finger and the new contact will be added to your phone book.
