How to Copy & Paste the Screen View

A "screenshot" or "screen view" is the view of what you see on your computer. Being able to capture the screen view of your computer is quite handy, especially when trying to show someone something that you can't explain. Screen shots are also handy when it comes to providing someone with specific directions on how to do something on a computer. Taking a screen shot is quite simple. It saves lots of time when trying to explain certain tasks because there are pictures to go along with the instructions.

      Navigate to the page that you want to copy and paste.

      Find the "Print Screen" or "Prt Sc" button on your keyboard. Press the button.

      Open an image-editing program like Adobe Photoshop or Microsoft Paint. Create a new image.

      Press and hold "Ctrl"+"V" at the same time. The image should paste onto the screen. You may also paste the image by clicking "Edit" on the toolbar and then selecting "Paste."

      Crop the image using the square marquee or selection tool. Select the area that you want to crop and press "Ctrl"+"C" at the same time. Create a new image and press "Ctrl"+"V," and the cropped image should appear on the screen. Save the image.

      Find the Apple Key on your keyboard (command key). Press and hold "Ctrl"+"Command"+"Shift"+"3" to copy everything on your desktop.
