How to Report Section 8 Fraud in Gwinnett County, Georgia
The Housing Choice Voucher Program, more commonly referred to as Section 8 housing, is a program sponsored by the federal government. The program is aimed at providing housing for low-income families. As with any federally sponsored government program, rules and regulations must be followed in order to obtain benefits. The circumvention of these rules or use of false information to gain these benefits is a crime called "fraud." The Section 8 program falls under the purview of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Thus, they are also ultimately responsible for the enforcement and investigation of Section 8 fraud. However, local resources can also be used to report Section 8 fraud in Gwinnett County, Georgia.
