How to Reset the WiFi Card in an LG X120

Your LG X120 netbook computer does come with a built in W-Fi receiver; however, you may choose to extend the wireless connection by installing a new wireless card. This expands the connection base available for your computer, giving you stronger access to more Internet connections. However, if the Wi-Fi card is not working properly, you may want to reset the card to its factory settings.

  • Disconnect the wireless card from your LG X120.

  • Click the "Start" button, then choose "Control Panel," followed by "System and Maintenance." Choose "Device Manager," and a window loads with all the installed hardware on your computer system.

  • Right-click the Wi-Fi card you have installed, then choose "Delete." This removes the wireless card information from your LG X120. Restart the computer once finished.

  • Navigate to the Wi-Fi card's manufacturing website. Choose "Support," then select "Drivers and Downloads." (Note the exact phrasing may differ slightly, depending on the website you are using.) Choose the Wi-Fi card you have, then click the displayed download. Double-click the downloaded file to load the installation wizard. Follow the prompts of the wizard to install the driver back onto the computer.

  • Restart the computer for the reset settings to take affect on the LG X120. Connect Wi-Fi card back to the computer for the system to begin using the wireless LG X120 again.
