How to Find a Nanny Job in Las Vegas, Nevada
Most people think of Las Vegas as a place to visit rather than a place to live. Still, nearly 2 million people call Las Vegas home and many of those residents are families with a need for nanny services. Nannies care for kids of all ages, from infants to teenagers, and many nannies live with the family they care for. Becoming a nanny can be a great way to make money, especially for live-in nannies, because most families pay for living expenses as well as offering a salary. To find a nanny job in Las Vegas, you need to follow several steps.
Things You'll Need

1
Search online for available jobs. Handfuls of websites, like Great Au Pair, list available nanny jobs from all over the country and offer search engines to find nanny jobs in specific cities, like Las Vegas (see the Resources section of this article). Other search criteria, like live in or live out, time frame and salary requirements, can also be used to search for Las Vegas nanny jobs.

2
Check Craigslist for Las Vegas nanny jobs. The Las Vegas Craigslist website includes a section for child care jobs, where families looking for nannies can post open positions and nannies apply directly to the family. Nannies looking for jobs can also post as "looking for work" to let families looking for a nanny know of their availability (see the Resources section).

Apply with a Las Vegas nanny agency. Several Las Vegas nanny agencies help match up nannies with families needing services. Provide the agency or family with your resume and references. Depending on the agency, website or family you apply with, other requirements can include documentation of previous experience, current CPR and first aid certifications, a valid driver's license and English fluency, according to Artsy Nannies.

5
Interview with the agency or family. If you apply with a Las Vegas agency, you will interview with that agency, and if you go through Craigslist, Great Au Pair or another nanny website, you will interview directly with the family.

Submit to a background check. Both agencies and individual families require applicants to undergo extensive background checks that can include drug tests, financial background checks, driving record checks and verification of U.S. citizenship or valid work visa, states Las Vegas Domestic Specialists.
