How to Rent a Car From the Reno-Tahoe Airport
It is relatively simple to arrange car hire from Reno-Tahoe International Airport as there are nine major car hire agencies operating within the airport. All car hire agencies offer a choice of car size and model. In general, you can pick up your hire car as soon as you have paid your car rental charges at the agency desk. The car hire agency desks are conveniently situated close to the baggage reclaiming area.

Research car hire charges and any surcharges on the Internet. There are nine car hire agencies based at Reno-Tahoe airport: Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty.

Consider the deals offered by the different car hire companies and whether you can obtain discounts using your existing cards, for example Quicksilver with Alamo.

Decide which car hire company you will use, based on your personal preferences.

Go to the website of your preferred car hire company. Enter your pick-up and drop off dates and times on screen and press "Enter".

Choose the car you wish to hire from the selection displayed by the car rental company. Instruct the hire company of your selection by pressing "Continue".

Complete the car rental application form on the screen. You may need to enter details of your flight at this point, if applicable. Name additional extras you may need such as infant seats. Calculate the total cost for the car hire using the on-screen calculating options.

Finalise your booking by confirming acceptance of the price and terms and conditions of the booking. Print off your booking confirmation.

Tips & Warnings
You must take your valid driver's license and a credit or debit card to the car hire desk at the airport.
All rental car agency desks are located in the Baggage Claim section at Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
Once you have paid for your hire car at the desk you can usually collect the vehicle from outside the airport.
If you choose to rent a car from Advantage you will need to board a shuttle bus to pick up your vehicle.
