Vinegar is an acetic liquid that has been used in cooking since ancient times because of its sour flavor. Vinegar also has many health benefits associated with it. According to Earth Clinic, apple cider vinegar offers health benefits, such as weight loss, sore throat relief, arthritis treatment, lowering cholesterol and treating acid reflux. Drinking undiluted apple cider vinegar can burn your throat and tongue because of its high acid content. When diluted with water you can drink apple cider vinegar and reap its benefits.

Things You'll Need

  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Honey
  • Mix 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar into an 8-ounce glass of cold water. Stir thoroughly to combine the mixture.

  • Add 1 teaspoon of honey to sweeten the drink. If you find the drink too pungent, honey will accent the flavors to make them more palatable.

  • Sip the drink slowly, over the course of 5 to 10 minutes.

  • Drink one to three cups of the water and vinegar mixture daily.
