Save

Most mobile phones are capable of playing multimedia sound files such as MP3, QCP and WAV files. As a mobile phone user, you can use those files as ringtones on your phone. You can share ringtones on your phone through text. The recipient of the ringtones can download the file and use it the same way you can on your phone. Depending on your mobile plan, there may be a charge for sending a ringtone by text.

  • Press the "Menu" key on your cell phone's home screen.

  • Select the folder containing the ringtone. Depending on the model of your phone, the folder may be the "My Content," "My Stuff" or "Media" folder.

  • Select "Ringtones" and highlight the ringtone that you want to send.

  • Press the "Menu" key on the phone and select "Send Via MMS" or "Send."

  • Enter the recipient's phone number in the "To" field and press "Send."
