The Polar F6 is a fitness heart rate monitor that you can wear conveniently as a wrist watch. This heart rate monitor can help you train at an ideal pace to maximize the effects of exercise and improve your training. Though easy to use, certain problems may occasionally occur in your Polar F6. For example, you can accidentally set your watch into lock mode.

Take the watch off your wrist or keep it on, whichever allows you to work comfortably.

Locate the "Light" button on the top right side of your watch, facing you. Press and hold the button.

Watch the display. "BUTTONS LOCKED" or "BUTTONS UNLOCKED" will appear. Press and hold the "Light" button as many times as you need, to either lock or unlock the watch. This lock mode locks all buttons except the "Light" button, so anytime you need the watch locked or unlocked, just press and hold the "Light" button.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always hold the "Light" button for a few seconds, since simple pressing and releasing the button will just turn the light on if the watch is unlocked or do nothing if the watch is locked.
  • If the alarm or timer goes off while the watch is locked, the buttons of the watch will function normally without you having to unlock the watch first.
  • In the "General Settings" of the watch, you can set "Key Lock" to manual or automatic. Manual lock is turned on and off using the "Light" button, whereas automatic lock locks all buttons except the "Light" button if no buttons are pressed within one minute. It can be unlocked just as manual lock, by pressing and holding the "Light" button.
