You can easily redecorate or enhance your home without spending huge sums of money. By swapping items from room to room to give them a new use, purchasing on-sale decor items at your local home goods store, and using color to drastically change the tone of any room, you can modify your space on your own without hiring an interior decorator, or spending lots of money. All you need is a little creativity and open-mindedness.

Create a list of things you'd like to enhance, redesign, or redecorate in your home. Make this list practical and doable; expensive projects should be kept for another time. You may want to change a color scheme, swap items from room to room for a new look, or infuse some color into your living room with fresh paint. Keep in mind that your projects should be affordable, so be ready to look for ways to finish your projects without spending too much.

Buy some paint. Color can completely change the mood of any room. Search for a new color to use on your walls. Visit your local home improvement store for marked-down paints and sale colors. Some home stores resell paint, that others have purchased and returned, for a lower price.

Visit your local home goods store for inexpensive accessories that will change your home, like throw pillows, sofa covers, rugs, and bath towels. Little things can make a big difference in your home.

Remove some of the old clutter that you don't want in your home. Make room for new decorative items or swap items from one room to another, which can give your rooms a new feel. For example, if you have yellow curtains in your dining room, why not give them a new place in your living room? Pair them with some new yellow throw pillows and some yellow decorative items, such as candles and photo frames, and reinvent your living room.
