How to Use Motorola T305 Bluetooth Speakers

The Motorola T305 Portable Bluetooth Hands-Free Speaker allows you to listen to audio from a Bluetooth device, like a cell phone, without having to hold the device to your ear. The speaker also comes with a microphone, so that you can hold a phone conversation with just the speaker being attached to your sun visor. Before you can start using the T305, you need to go through a connection process that pairs the speaker with your mobile device.

  • Plug one end of the charger into the port on the bottom of the T305 speaker, then plug the other end into a wall outlet, or the power port in your car if you are using the car charger. The indicator light on the speaker will turn red within one minute of plugging it in. When the indicator turns blue, the speaker is fully charged.

  • Turn the T305 on by pressing and holding the power button on the top of the unit until the indicator light becomes steadily lit in purple. Let the button go and the T305 will search for paired devices. If the unit finds no paired devices, the indicator light will turn blue and the T305 will go into pairing mode.

  • Search for the device through the "Bluetooth" menu on your phone or portable Bluetooth-enabled device. For most devices there will be an "Add New," "Add" or "Search" option. Select "Motorola T305" on that device and enter "0000" as a passkey to complete the pairing process.

  • Turn the T305 over and slide the visor clip into place on the back of the T305 with the loop on the clip pointing toward the top of the unit. Slide the clip over your sun visor to hold the speaker in place.

  • Tap the call button, which is also the indicator light on the front of the T305, to make a voice call, end a call or answer a call. Press and hold the call button to redial the last number, answer a second call or toggle between two calls. Press the volume button on the left side to lower the volume, and the button on the right side to raise the volume. You can also press either volume button to reject an incoming call or press both volume buttons to mute the microphone.
