How to Remove Apps From a Verizon Droid

The line of Droid phones from Verizon can download and process a multitude of applications, but you'll often find that some applications either don't work as advertised or are useless. While you cannot remove applications that come with the phone, such as the "Android Marketplace" and "Email" applications, you can remove any downloaded applications. The "Manage Application" feature allows you to select the application you want to remove and uninstall it.

  • Press the "Home" button on the Droid and press the "Menu" button. The "Home" button looks like a house and is on the casing of the phone, below the screen. The "Menu" button is on the casing of the phone, below the screen and looks like four lines.

  • Touch "Settings" and then scroll down and touch "Applications."

  • Touch "Manage Applications." Press "Menu" and select "Filter" and "Downloaded" to show the downloaded applications. Depending on your model of your droid, the downloaded applications are shown by default.

  • Touch the application you want to remove and select "Uninstall." Press "OK" to confirm. Your droid will alert you when the application is removed.
