How to Reset the Dash in a Dodge Sprinter

Save

The Sprinter is a commercial van. It was sold under a contract through Dodge from Mercedes-Benz until the 2009 model year. The Sprinter's dash has various settings, including the trip mileage, miles per gallon, and the service indicator. If you wish to reset the dash settings, you can do so with touch of a few buttons. You can also reset individual settings.

  • Place the key inside the Sprinter's ignition slot. Turn the key to position "2." The engine should not be running. The dash lights will turn on.

  • Locate the "Info" button. The "Info" button is not labeled with text; the button has a "Paper" icon. It is on the right side of the steering wheel.

  • Push the "Info" button until "Settings" displays in the odometer screen.

  • Locate the "0" button on the right side of the steering wheel. The "0" button is the "Reset" button.

  • Press and hold the "0" button for approximately three seconds. You'll see a message asking you if you want to reset the dash settings. Push "0" once to reset the settings.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also reset individual settings, rather than resetting the settings globally. To reset individual settings, toggle to the specific setting (trip mileage, mpg, etc.) using the "Info" button. Push and hold "0" for three seconds, then push "0" to reset the specified setting.
